Still, it has 3 ports with the potential to draw 1.5A for just the USB ports, in addition to the FPGA. I haven’t measured it, but it is a USB 3.0 host, so it will be looking for between 500-900ma on that port depending on the USB drive attached.

I'm not ready to go modifying the Reloaded, so I'll just stick to using it for PAL software that won't run on my NSTC computers. Mk2 owners are out of luck as the circuitry is built-in with no way to replace it. If you have a Mk1 board you can resolve this issue by removing the fake 8701 replacement board and using a real 8701. This results in everything from video ripples to complete crashing. This is the VCO, and it is extremely sensitive to changes in the 5v rail. The Reloaded boards have a design issue with the 8701 replacement circuity.

Run build.bat on Microsoft Windows or make on Linux to generate tables, compile the source code, crunch the binary and launch your program in the emulator. Would I be better off with one of the new FPGA boards inside a 64? Would it be switchable between PAL/NTSC without swapping chips? All you need to start programming 6510 assembler for the Commodore 64 on Microsoft Windows or Linux. I do have an old Amiga monitor under my desk though. I'm running it out to an HDMI flatscreen as well. I can snapshot games, resume games I'd never finished in my youth etc, all with the same feeling as my old 64, but now I can run *everything*. Old breadbin body, and one of the Tynnemouth keyboard adapters, with real joystick ports. Now, I've come close, with a Raspberry Pi 3b running Combian64. What I'd really like is a Pal / NTSC switchable C64 that can do both, as well as a classic NTSC Commodore monitor that could display both types of signals via s-video, even if I needed a little addon conversion box. I've been on this quest for really my entire life.
